Does that make sense? (for believers in God)

As I was thinking about this today, some things came to my mind... Imagine these scenarios:

1)
Daughter comes from a party at 3am on Sunday morning and mom is awake waiting for her.  VS.
Daughter arrives at home late a couple of days in the week after helping, volunteering, working at the church. Mom says she is going to the church way too much and doesn't agree with it.

2)
Daughter gets a C in school and mom freaks out. VS.
Daughter starts to miss church, stops helping in the church, leaves the groups she was in and mom thinks it is ok because "that is how teenagers are" or that "let God touch her to come back".

3)
Daughter is not very interested in the guys in the church, not because she wants to be alone but because she is preparing herself first, getting "spiritually fit" before entering a relationship. The family mocks her, tells her she will "ficar para titia", will die alone, needs to experience more, etc etc. VS.
Daughter starts dating a guy from outside the church, who doesn't share the same faith. Mom and family thinks it is a great thing, it is a great experience and that the daughter will get a lot from it.

4)
Daughter leaves her old friends who were no help to her faith, may not even have a lot friends now. Mom thinks it is a huge mistake, that daughter is having problems because is too alone these days VS.
Daughter comes to church but spends most of her free time with people who have nothing to do with God, goes out with them all the time, thinks like them, dresses like them, talks like them, behaves like them. Mom think it is so great to see her daughter have so many friends! She's really enjoying her youth!

Now you tell me, does that make any sense?! If Faith comes first, shouldn't the person's attitudes and reactions to the situations going on in her family reflect her priorities ?!
