Wasteful, me?!

I was thinking about the meaning of the word "waste" the other day, and some things came to my mind…

 - When we are careless of our time, we are just telling God that that is how we want to use our lives. As we wish. And so we are wasting our life!

 - When we are careless of the amount of trash we produce - and we don't even need to believe that Nature was God's creation - we are telling Nature that we couldn't care less about the danger of scarcity of water, the pollution of air, the need for bigger and bigger waste deposits that would be reduced if more people would recycle, the pollution of water because products that we consume that are not biodegradable (STYROFOAM!!!). Driving big cars that consume so much gas (and I am at fault with that somewhat. 19.5 mpg is not that great) create waste of natural resources too... For us Christians, we are telling God we couldn’t care less for what He has created and we’ll go on with our business using and abusing of it as we please… REMEMBER:

 - When we are careless of our body, and the amount of food we intake, we are creating waste INSIDE OF US! Could anything be any worse? It is waste that is being transformed into fat, which then has to be so exhaustingly "worked out" of us.

 - When we are careless of our Spiritual life, we are telling God that spending time with Him is a waste of our time. We try to fool ourselves and Him (what a silly thing to do!) by doing "good deeds" here and there but watch, because one day it can become too late. And when we come before Him, He may tell us there is no room for us in Heaven, we're a just a waste for Him!
