You wake up in the morning, look outside and are reminded that the past is behind and you are ready for a new day with Him, A New Day Has Come (53). You look at the mirror and appreciate The Woman in You (177), your uniqueness, for you were made “beautiful and lovely, an understanding and merciful being” (177). And off you go on with your day. You go to school and/or work, and regardless of whether people mistreat you or not, appreciate you or not, smile at you or not, it is a great day because you Cherish (75) what you have. You quickly remind yourself of The Gracious Woman (157) you can be, and choose to show your love which is “unconditional to the circumstances” (157) around you.
When tempted to notice the mistakes from people around you, you use your “eye-drops” and do not “look at the speck in your brother’s eyes” (148) but “consider the plank in your own eye” (148). You do it because you chose to be a Size 0 (117) when it comes to unpleasant and harmful “spiritual fat”. You must admit it, things are a bit challenging in your life, there is a lot to handle but still, you rejoice. You rejoice that you are no longer that Sensitive Girl (93); you have learned to “look at what is causing the problem” and think of how you can deal with it (94). You are a Pretty Woman (21), you have thrown away all unnecessary luggage from bad words and bad experiences in your life and can actually Say cheese (89) from the inside out, even when things get tough, because the truth is that you can overcome by your own faith (89). You know that little voice that says that you can’t? You absolutely despise and ignore it because it is a lie (175).
One more day comes to an end. You come back home, you talk to God about the future husband you want to have. You are conscious about How to attract a man of God (199), and you don’t want to give God The Wrong Kind of Sign (123), not only in your sentimental life but especially in your spiritual life; you do not want “any selfishness in what you want” (124). As you get ready to go to sleep, you put all your problems and concerns in God’s hands and is up in the faith again (122), ready for a new day “as white as snow” (95).
As I mentioned, there is not just one thing that stood out to me. That old idea I had about shoes, fashion, and talking about appearance became clearer to me. Our internal beauty, achieved through faith is our main asset, which should be guarded and cherished dearly (143).
When we do care for our external beauty we are not being shallow because it is not the main priority of our lives. We do care for it, however, as much as we care for our house, the tidiness of our work space, our friends, partners, and family because so we can reflect to the world the internal beauty we carry within. This way we please the only One who matters, the only One who makes it all worthwhile.
