Just as God does, the devil also works with the power of words: Words or thoughts of doubt that cause fears and concerns. Then, a person's emotional system is shaken and the actions that follow are always compromising. This is the recipe from hell to kill, steal and destroy. There is no other effective remedy to combat this type of attack but react by focusing the thoughts in the promises of God.
This reaction must take place immediately in the mind, setting our thoughts in the Word. This counterattack by faith combined with a good deal of confidence and perseverance will make satan flee.
This is what "submit to God and resist the devil". James 4.7 really means. Good music, good advice , words of comfort, entertainment etc only work as aspirin: they relieve, but don't uproot the problem. We have to use the same tactic our Lord Jesus used when He resisted the emotional "advice" Peter gave, replying to him, "Get behind me , Satan!" Matthew 16:23

A exemplo de Deus, o diabo também trabalha com a palavra. Palavra ou pensamentos de dúvida que geram medos e preocupações. Diante disso, o sistema emocional é abalado e as atitudes seguintes são sempre comprometedoras. E é justamente essa a química do inferno para matar, roubar e destruir.
Não há remédio eficaz para combater esse tipo de ataque, senão firmar os pensamentos nas Promessas Divinas e reagir. Tal reação tem de ser imediata na própria mente com pensamentos calcados na Palavra. Esse contra-ataque da fé combinada com boa dose de confiança e perseverança vai fazê-lo fugir. Isso significa sujeitar-se a Deus e resistir ao diabo. Tiago 4.7
Boa música, bons conselhos, palavra de conforto, entretenimento ou coisa semelhante funcionam como aspirina. Alivia, mas não resolve. Há que se usar a mesma tática de nosso Senhor quando resistiu ao “conselho” emotivo de Pedro, dizendo: Arreda, Satanás! Mateus 16.23
